Psychosomatic Therapy is the process of deepening the connection between the psyche (mind) and soma (the body) that we live in.
Psychosomatic Therapy combines a deep understanding of the relationship between the mind and the body, with specialised techniques that create positive change and allow for healing. Redundant and restrictive patterns held in the physical structure are released and replaced through correcting posture, improving body condition, physical shape and psychological attitudes.
This training is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following functions associated with the (vocational) practice of Psychosomatic Therapy including:
- Understanding and sharing basic knowledge of Psychosomatic Therapy philosophy, principles, assessment, diagnostic and treatment techniques
- Promoting health and well-being of individuals
- Analysing potential personality characteristics in the face, Bodymind, hands, emotional anatomy and feet
- Providing diagnosis of a wide range of psychosomatic dis-eases
- Applying bodywork treatment using Psychosomatic Therapy techniques
- Developing a structured approach to ongoing professional development as a psychosomatic therapist
- Associating physical (anatomical) body traits and identifying and releasing cellular memory via various techniques including trigger point release
Can I use it for personal growth?
Yes! Through this process the relationship between the language of the Body-Mind becomes revealed. This 'language' through body chemistry, recognises no nationality or doctrine. The Soul seeks only to awaken within the human body, feelings of love, compassion and understanding experienced as a vital, healthy life. If you have ongoing challenges with stress, anxiety, depression or general overwhelm, this training offers a 10 day retreat experience to source the root cause of unconscious issues and release debilitating patterns from the Body-Mind.
Can I use it professionally?
Yes! The Certificate in Psychosomatic Therapy and Emotional Release Bodywork is a flexible and practical curriculum for people who are interested in applying additional skills to an existing complimentary health practice or who desire to learn new skills on a pathway toward a career in integrative health. INTAPT is the International Association of Psychosomatic Therapists representing Members, Practitioners and Teachers of Psychosomatic Therapy. Once certified, membership to the association assists in gaining public liability and personal indemnity insurance for a professional practice.
